Credit: Brian Bowen Smith311 just released an album called Mosaic last summer, but according to bassist Aaron “P-Nut” Wills, the band is already working on new music…and you won’t have to wait too long to hear it.

“We’re planning on releasing an album this year,” P-Nut tells ABC Radio. “We’ve easily got 10 songs.”

P-Nut adds that the group hopes to finish the new album before they hit the road on a co-headlining tour with The Offspring this summer, starting July 25 in Mountain View, California.

“We’ve got a lot of time to put it together,” the bassist says. “I hope we pull it off.”

P-Nut’s main goal, though, is for the new material to live up to Mosaic, which spawned the single “Too Much to Think.”

“We have a lot to live up to, ’cause we thought Mosaic was a really good…collection of ideas, and our fans liked it a lot,” he says. “So we’ve got to make it as good as that, if not better.”

311’s run with The Offspring, dubbed the Never-Ending Summer tour, wraps up September 9 in Wichita, Kansas.
